Fatah and Hamas Factions meeting in Cairo (photo: Maan News) JERUSALEM Fatah leaders who now serves as President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas for the first time establish a meeting with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.
This historic meeting was done, after a feud broke out between the Hamas-Fatah in 2007.
The meeting which took place in Cairo is part of a peaceful reconciliation Center traveled by both Fatah-Hamas.
"The two leaders were to meet at the castle of Al-Andalus in Cairo with accompanied a number of high officials from both sides. At the meeting they discussed the process of reconciliation between the factions including relations with Cairo and related agreements Doha, "said one Hamas official was quoted as saying Friday, Maan News (24/2/2012).
Since 2007 the Palestinian people has been faced with two factions of the Government, when Fatah urged Hamas to leave the Gaza Strip.
